Ever thought abt ISM during yr preparation time for IIT-JEE, ever thought about joining Mining Engg, Petroleum Engg, Mineral Engg. Well some of us say yes, but most of us NOOOOOOOOO,
but now truth is ours branches. Whether we like it or not we all are proud of our respective engineering, Mining comes next only to agiculture in the field of direct production from earth, Mineral acts as a bridge between mining and metallurgy, and everybody recently had the taste of petroleum engg when the crude oil prices were whooping $144 per barrel.
Are we afraid of these branches because working conditions are hard??, no we are not, Is the packages are not good?? no, we are receiving reasonably good packages.................then why these branches are not popular as computer science, electronics, mechanical etc.
Well the only answer is, Intelligent peoples are not dare enough to think beyond comforts, they are ready to work 12-13 hrs in metros in their a.c. offices but not ready to work for 8 hrs in remote areas like Dhelwadih, Munidih, Putki Balihari, Sonepur Bajari.
And why should they ,when their are lack of schools, Medical facilities, recreation facilities etc in these areas, but today if we will stand away from these problems then who is going to solve it, and once u will see the history u will understand that all the major wars occured to get control over the mineral deposits like coal, crude oil etc. so don't u think that its not our responcibility, not only to safeguard these minerals but to make maximum utilisation of it, since country's progress is measured by the index how much steel it produces and uses and all of us know making of the steel largely depend upon two minerals Iron and Coal.
Everybody wants to live in palace but nobody wants to care how these palaces are run , from where the electricity is coming, fom where oil is coming for your cars, its not the petrol pump that feed ur luxury vehicle, its the knowledge and skills of earth sciences engg or particularly energy engineering
that make it possible for u to live the kind of life u are living.

Global Politics
India to America - What is your problem with Pakistan why don't you stop sending military and non military aid to Pak...
America - You don't understand my friend, We have thousands of our's troop in Afghanistan and we need to send regular supply of arms, ammunation, food etc to them, and all these supplies are made through Pakistan route.
India - But don't you see that 100s of NATO trucks were fired by militants and Pakistan is just sitting idle and taking no action...........................as all has been planed by Pakistan himself
America - We were just a bit more busy in Iraq problem, so we don't pay much attention to this, but now we are back........
and we are planning a new route of supply through Central Asia and Russia and we need your assistance in this as Russia is your good strategic friend
India - But the world know that you are supporting Pakistan because you need Pak to prevent crossborder ( Pakistan - Afghanistan ) infiltration of militants.
America - -Of course that is also a reason for support but not as bold as the previous one. Since we understand that Pak is never going to stop such kind of infiltartion.
India - Ok, Meanwhile Pak is actively getting suppot from China, and that is a matter of great concern.
America - Yes, I too worry about that, but you must understand that China main plan is to weak India through Pakistan without getting its (China) name being flourished.
India - Yea, we are giving tough competition to China in every field, whether it is space exploration or trade and now China is using cheap means to destabilise India.
America - You must seek support from Russia over this matter, this is going to help you in two ways, 1.You can make your position strong.
2. Russia is communist country and so do China and you can create a wall of indifference between theses two superpower by gaining support of Russia over the matter of Pakistan against China, thus not only China will get weak but you will make your position more strong over Russia too.
